Only use this lock on inexpensive items -- it's really not good for security as the locking mechanism is fairly simple to defeat.

only buy for kids bikes

this bike lock is only good if ur using this for a kiddy bike but if you have a bmx or something like me it isnt the best. my bike was stolen cuz of this lock dont buy it

Limited use...

It could have been a decent bike lock; the plastic cover is a good thing as it protects the bike from scratches and the chain is thick enough for a kid bike. The fatal flaw in this lock is the lock itself; there is a simple trick to quickly reveal the lock combination. A simple chain with a fine Masterlock would probably cost as much and provide a better protection against thieves.

Q: I purchased one of these locks and there is no combination with it. How do I set the combination? I purchased one of these locks for my son and there is no combination with it. How do we set the combination so we can get the lock open?

1 Answer

A: EZ RESET COMBINATION 1. This lock has a resettable combination feature that can be repeated as often as you like. 2. Unlock the lock using the factory-set combination; line up 0000 with the dashes on the lock-housing. 3. Pull the cable out from the lock-housing. 4. Hold lock-housing with open end facing you. 5. Turn the outer metal ring about 110 degrees clockwise until it stops. 6. Set the dials to the four numbers that you desire. Write the numbers down. 7. Rotate the ring counter clockwise until it stops. Take care to not move any of the dials while you are moving the ring. 8. Insert the cable back into the lock-housing. 9. At this point check the combination that is lined up with the dashes. This is the combination that has been set and may vary from the one you intended, if you accidentally moved the dials during the procedure. 10. Turn the dials to scramble the numbers in order to secure the lock. 11. You may want to write down your numbers in case you forget them.
