    Not Great

Bought it tonight and mounted it. The rear light seems okay - it functions, though is cheaply made so I'm not too optimistic about its lifespan, but pretty standard for the price. The front light however is junk. The light itself functions, however the clip fails to work entirely. While mounting it, it fell apart. Theres a small pin in the lever that tightens it down (similar to the tightening levers for bike seats) which will fall out when loose if you're not careful. Once I did get it mounted it wouldn't stay secured as the clip kept backing off by itself, and required tape to keep it mounted. Over all it technically functions however, required some modification, and for the dollar store quality mounts it should be less than $10.

Terrible product! Should be zero stars. No instructions on how to open either piece to put the batteries in, had to google it and was afraid I’d break it when I pried the front light open with a screw driver. After all the trouble it didn’t work! Tried to open the back one, couldn’t, returned to store.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    • A: Bought this for a friend but my memory is there was a leaver at the back of the front light clip that opened to open the ring. Kind of like the release clip on the bike front wheel. Hope this helps.

    • A: I have not had an issue with mine as of yet - They stay on our bikes when out in the weather, granted the bikes are stored under cover when not in use.

    • A: I had this problem too I think! The top (with the button) slides off horizontally, away from the front (the light part)

Q: how does the front light open access for battery replacement on the supercycle led lights for bikes

    • A: Hi Lori - the lens assembly is a very tight fit inside the housing, to help with water resistance. The lens assembly slides straight out from the light housing, so getting a fingernail in between the edge of the lens and the housing, where they meet, is the best way. Go a bit at a time on each side, until you can pull the lens assembly all the way out. You're right about it being annoying that instructions aren't included for this part, and we have since added them to productions after the one that you purchased.

    • A: You don't need to pull off the clear insert. Just press down on the back where the button is and slide it away from the clear light.
