Heated throw from Can Tire

Wasn't pleased, didn't heat up hot just kinda warm, then it stopped working. Had to get store credit because they out of stock of that colour. Disappointed I couldn't get different colour for same price.

Q: Does the cord/controller detach for washing?

A: I think so, I could see that the controller does detach, & it says on the website that it is machine washable and dryable; however I have only used mine a few times in the winter so it is not dirty so I have not tried it myself, so I am a bit concerned if it is really true, i will try it sometime and hopefully I don't wreck it, fingers crossed.

The average wattage of our Sunbeam® heated blanket in Queen size uses about 135 watts per side. The average wattage of our Sunbeam® heated blanket in King Size uses about 180 watts per side. The average wattage of our Sunbeam® heated throws uses about 115 watts. The wattage information is located on the blankets, throws and mattress pads label. On the blue and purple label, it is located next to the "UL" symbol. On the new 2002 and newer (black and white), it is located above the date code. Hope this information is useful to you. The Sunbeam heated throw has a power of 115 watts. We don't recommend the use of extension cords, surge strips or other electrical adapters when using any Sunbeam bedding product. If one of these devices is used, it may cause a change in the electrical current that will not allow the warming product to work properly. Hope this information is useful. Q: Bought my first elec. throw, a Sunbeam, from a different store. The power cord was very short, with the controller in the middle of it. The cord connected to the throw in the middle of the top edge under you chin. Are all elec. blankets like this?

Q: How long is the Electrical cord. And why will the functionality of the blanket be affected by plugging it into an extension cord?

A: Thank you for reaching out! Power cord length is 82”. While the functionality of the heated throw or heated blanket will not be affected by plugging into an extension cord, we do not recommend doing so since there might be a lot of other appliances connected to the same extension cord. Additionally, electrical cords have different designs and ratings (type, length, size and insulation) that might not be rated for use with our products.
