Lots of features and quality

These are pretty good little lights. Motion activated feature. Coloured lights and white light and a flashlight option. I was really hoping for a power off feature while it was plugged in but alas... it does everything else you could possibly expect from a night light (and a dash extra)... except that. You can power it off with the power button when it's not plugged in though... it was not super clear about that i felt. Anyways i wanted to give it 4 stars for that but that's not really fair because they are excellent feature rich and quality feeling lights... and my misunderstanding isn't reason enough. It ended up working out perfectly for another job in my house that requires a motion light in the stairwell for a nearly blind (from birth) dog that i didn't anticipate. So... im super pleased.

Q: The instructions manual states 'The unit automatically returns to the continuous color changing default setting once power has returned”. Is there a way to set this unit to retain its color setting after power comes back?

Q: in the case of a power failure, does the light stay on or can it only be used if taken out of the outlet and used "handheld" as a flashlight

A: Hi Marse, yes you can. When the light changes to white, simply press the ON/OFF button to stop the color changing cycle.
