Q: Is it normal for the canoe to warp on the bottom? I noticed someone mentioned in their review that the bottom of their canoe warped - we've noticed that too. Is that an issue or can it be rectified?

A: The only way to fix this is to return it. I was told by the manufacture that it would return to shape after a few days in the sun. Never happened!

Q: Is there supposed to be a rod in the bottom of the canoe? We bought ours 2nd hand a year or so ago (used only 1 by previous owner) . We tried selling it last summer as it seemed weren't going to get a chance to use it. Anyone who looked at it said it was missing a rod.

A: The rod is installed on Coleman canoes. That would be a thing for this product as it does go out of shape.

A: This canoe is not approved for a gasoline outboard. Only electric motors should be used.

Q: Gas trolling motor? I notice that the flat back isn't a full flat back canoe, is the flat back big enough mount a 5.0 - 9.9 hp motor?

A: I have a 4 hp motor on mine and although it provides more than enough power, the transom is set too far back to comfortably and safely reach the tiller handle. Further, no matter how I set the pitch of the leg, water creeps up and into the boat flooding it quickly at even half throttle.

A: Yes, it would be a trolling motor, any trolling motor would work though. We do not know which one specifically is on the boat.

A: Transport Canada requires Canadian powerboat operators of all ages to obtain and carry a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), regardless of age, size of boat or engine. · Anything with an engine, even a little electric trolling motor, you need a boating license. · Failure to present a PCOC while operating a powered vessel can result in a minimum $250 fine. · Save $10 by buying your prepaid PCOC at Canadian Tire (079-0093). · Once certified, your PCOC is good for life. The exam is 50 multiple choice questions.
