Good choice for 18"

My kiddo is not quite ready for the height/weight of a 20", despite being four feet tall. This is a comfortable size for them as a new rider. It is hard to find an 18" size for kids, let alone one that has a front suspension. Everything seems to be of pretty good quality in terms of parts. I was skeptical about the cheap tires included, but they do the job. I think this will be a great introductory bike for light trails, and it works well on dirt rroads. I like that there are hand breaks and some light gears to get a child accustomed to using those.

This is the perfect bike for strong and active children. My son is 4.5 years old and 112 cm tall. The 16-inch bike was already too small for him, and the 20-inch is still too big. We saw this bike and decided to try it out right away, and it fits him perfectly. And it's good that the bike only has a rear derailleur, so it's easier for the child to understand how to change gears. So far, he only has enough strength to change gears up.

I just bought this bicycle for my almost 8 years old son, so it is too early to comment on its quality. I checked both tires and frame and it looks pretty solid built. Sometimes that makes this bike unique is that it is the only bike that has gear and is equipped with both hand brakes. It does not have pedal brake, so your kid will be on only front and rear hand brakes, which I guess is a good practice for future larger bikes.
Gear is only applies to one (rear one) which makes the gear change very simple for your kid to use.
I general, I am happy with this purchase.

Q: I would like to suggest to the manufacturer to make a pink 18" version. My daughter will probably settle for the blue (since it's more teal), but it's hard to find 18" bikes, let alone a mid quality that's suitable for trails with a decent suspension.
