Fast and quick application result

That’s the right product if you are pressed on time and the weather is uncooperative. One has to be fast on your feet when using this product because it hardens within 5 to 7 minutes as you are applying the mud on the surface. If you are not skilled with masonery work, stay away from this product, however, if you know how to handle drywall or concrete mud, and have used a hardener before, then this is the right product. Besides that, one can only select this specific product if you have a foundation or concrete situation that requires a proven solution. What one has to remember and be very mindful of is that you must be quick when applying this mixture as this hardens fast.

Cement patch

Great product, sets very quickly.

OK, but I switched to pre-mix.

The patch that I applied was good and solid... but no matter how much I adjusted the water and quantity this dried faster than I could apply it all.

Solid finish

I had a broken cement step and some other cement areas that needed to be repaired and this product did the job. All it took was mixing in a bucket with water (don't add too much water at first, can always add more as you figure out a good consistency!) and applying it with a putty knife. Dries fairly quick for a nice hard finish.

Q: Label on product container says it can be used between 20F and 120 F. So does that mean it can be applied at 20F? Answer below says 40F. What happens if it’s applied below 40F (but above 20 F)?

Q: The product states it's good for foot traffic after 4 hours. How long before I can paint it? A suggested mixing ratio would of been nice.

  • A: I would give it 24 hrs. before painting. The mixing depends on what you are trying to repair, like cracks, shallow chips, break offs on corners.

Q: How much (in volume) can 10 lb instant patching cement filled ? What mixing ratio between cement and water ? Also can small amount of sands be added to the cement when use ?

  • Henry Product Expert

A: It is difficult to provide a mixing ratio as consistency is determined by the repair you are making. On average, a 10lb container would need approximately 16 oz of mixing liquid. We do not recommend adding sand.
