'old' vs 'new' Tylon

I bouch a Tylon few years ago, and because I liked it I bought another one. I found tho the writing style changed since that time .... 'old' tylon on top 'new' tylon on the bottom of pictures.

Perfect for smaller jobs

I am presently in welding school and it was always a fight to find a tape during practical lessons. I decided to get my own. I wanted something with both measuring systems and not too long since we only do small parts. To date it has endured the rigours of a welding shop. It has been close to heat, dropped, etc and still works well. I was afraid teh plastic casing would be an issue, but it has not.

Compact and easy to use

Perfect for small work. It fits in a pocket or can be attached to a belt with the back clip. The tape is easy to retract and the locking mechanism keeps it in place when taking a measure. It has a sliding hook at the end to keep measures accurate when either pushing or pulling the tape. I dropped it a few times and it held up. Note that only about half of tha case is rubber protected. The other part is a hard plastic. It is easy to handle and a tad smaller than most tapes in that range.
