11 years agoA: It can't be charged. It inverts 12v from a car battery to houshold 110V.

Q: Can I use the alligator clips directly on the battery for power? Also, will it run a laptop? If so can you give an approximate time of usage? Thanks!
9 years agoA: Yes, the inverter was designed for the alligator clips to go right to a 12V battery. It should run a laptop just fine. We cannot give approximate runtime of the laptop, as runtime will vary with how many watts the laptop is using, and the size of the battery. However, if this inverter is used with an automotive battery, it should run a laptop throughout the entire day.

10 years agoA: You can run a power strip extension cord, however please note that when using an extension cord or power strip the inverter's max output power may be reduced.

11 years agoA: This will run some small appliances, just check to make sure they require less than 750W and they should work fine. It will vary between appliances (depending on their individual requirements)
