SportRack's Upshift Plus roof top bike carrier provides convenient travel with your bicycles while keeping them safe and secure. The self-adjusting jaws hold the bicycle's downtube firmly as you drive. The carrier also fits additional SportRack roof rack systems, as well as square, round and most factory roof racks. Starting in Granby, Quebec in 1980, SportRack's "easy-on/easy-off" products offer a vast array of multi-sport roof rack systems, hitches, boxes and truck racks for the active family seeking quality products at fair prices. Backed and tested by Thule, products carry a limited lifetime warranty.

Frustrating instructions and parts not great

Grrrr. bought this and had the "rear bracket assembly" missing. The second one had even few pieces. Picked up a third one and found out that despite the instructions, you apparently had to assemble the "rear bracket assembly" Other issues: Bolts just small enough that they did not fit. I had to go buy new ones. It does not fit a child bike as it claims. The front wheel strap is not long enough for a childs bike as the strap can not slide under the arm equipment. The strap again is just short enough not to slip. What is frustrating is that the clasp is on a hinge so you can angle it, but the strap is not long enough to go on an angle.

Good so far, but poor instructions.

I have just installed this product and it looks good so far. But I agree with other reviewers warnings about the instructions. They are substandard. Step 2 calls for the pictured "rear bracket assembly" to be slipped into place. No such part was apparently included. I did find a random bag of small parts that I thought had been mistakenly thrown in instead of the rear bracket assembly, but on closer scrutiny this turned out to a kit for assembling the rear bracket assembly, but with no instructions. I was able to figure it out (hint: use the rectangular washers to slide into the tray channel, not round washers as pictured). We shall see how the product holds up. I hope the construction is better than the instruction.
