Bought this to trace out a gazillion ethernet cables I have run throughout my home and I was able to successfully make connections and find out which cables in my panelroom were connected to jacks in my home. My main goal was to hardwire my main desktop PC to ethernet (as I was using a WiFi connection) and my connection speed is now 8x faster. So very happy that this cable tester was able to properly identify connections for me.
