Q: This was my question as well. A basketball isn’t for one gender. It’s for a SIZE. Please correct. You don’t think this is hurting people but it is.

A: Hi, Jennifer. We make products for every level of basketball and every player. Our sizing charts follow the official global rules of basketball. Official men’s size and weight (also NBA size and weight) is 29.5”. Official women’s size and weight is 28.5”, the official size of the WNBA as well as all women’s competitive leagues. Men 12 and under also play with a 28.5” ball in competition. Official youth size is 27.5”.

A: Hi, Catherine - Size 7, the 29.5", is the official NBA size and weight, and suggested for boys over 12. The official WNBA size and weight is 28.5", size 6, and suggested to be used by women and boys under 12.
