Works, but...

The item I received is blue, not yellow, and is missing the slot on the opposite side for measuring bivalves, I believe. Further, the 16.5 cm slot is smaller and you may end up taking undersized Dungeness crabs risking fines. I had to measure it and file about 1.5 mm if not more. So do your homework if you buy it, adjust it to right size, and then it's perfect.

Works well. Was actually light blue in colour, but I didn’t care about that. Wish it had come with a lanyard, but I used one I already had and attached it so I could make sure I didn’t lose it when I was in the water.

I picked up the South Bend Crab Caliper this season and I’m thoroughly impressed. It’s simple, sturdy, and does exactly what it needs to do—measure crabs quickly and accurately so you stay legal and ethical out on the water.
