Defective Shelf Panel – Exposed Sharp Edge

I purchased the Songmics Home Cabinet with 3 Open Shelves and 2 Drawers (White) for $119.99 CAD from Canadian Tire. The overall design is simple and functional, and the cabinet was relatively easy to assemble. However, the quality of the finishing is disappointing. One of the horizontal shelf panels has a clearly exposed particle board edge. The edge was not properly finished, sealed, or painted, leaving a rough and sharp surface. This defect is very noticeable and poses a potential safety risk, especially in a household with children. The online product photos show clean, smooth, fully finished edges, which does not match what was delivered. This appears to be a manufacturing or quality control issue, not damage caused during assembly. At this price point, I expected better finishing and attention to detail. While the design itself is decent, the poor workmanship significantly reduces the overall value of the product.

No, I do not recommend this product.
