AMAZING for the price

SOG is a long time manufacturer of great knives but we're pretty pricey for the average knife enthusiast.
That changes with this knife.
It has an amazing appearance with polished ends and the wood inlay for the handle. This is an amazing looking knife.
Size and weight are exceptional...you know you have it in your hand making it all that much more controllable.
The blade itself is a good length, nice design with a unique look. It's a Chinese steel which is where the cost savings come in. It's razor sharp right out of the box. But, as a lower end steel, it will need more regular sharpening. It passes the arm hair shave test right out of the box, though.
The body has a steel frame so it's good and secure.
It's a liner lock so you can have confidence in the fact the blade is locked in place.
All screws were tight.
Thumb stud ..the area around the tub stud is a little right to get your thumb in there to flick it...but that's only one way to use the stud. You can use your thumb flat on the stud to flick out the blade as well. Just might take you more practice depending on which way you prefer.
Good, deep clip on it as well.
My only complaint is the flip should have been on the opposite end of the knife and it doesn't allow for switching it. Not really a deal breaker for me, though.
For the price, this is an absolutely fantastic item.

Not bad. The wooden handle was extremely rough and I had to sand it to round off and smooth the edges. Then I had to oil it repeatedly so it didn't feel like sandpaper. But after all that I am quite happy with it so far.

Poor knife pin

I bought this a few years ago and the year after buying it the screw came loose that holds the blade on I was really disappointed it was one of my most beautiful knives when I brought it back to Canadian tire they didn’t even have a tool to tighten it
