Lids break at hinges and can't be replaced

I used to recommend these . Unfortunately I've had four of six lids break at the hinges. They do not sell replacement lids I was stuck buying two new boxes in September. Since then the other two box lids broke. so again I have a litter box in good condition but no lid which is frustrating. Kitties are 9-13 pounds so not overly large so I don't know why they are breaking, if it's a design flaw or what. It's wasteful to have to replace the whole box when the lids break. At a minimum they should sell replacement lids.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The part on the lid that holds it up and connects it to the base of the litter box snapped and has made it unstable for my cats to put their weight on

Great first litter box!

Bought this about a year and a half ago and it has worked well. I bought this particular litter box because of the height and the lid. The lid was not helpful, it deterred my cat from using the litter box. As my cat grew older, jumping in and out of the box has become a nuisance to him. Instead of jumping in on his own, he'll meow until someone places him in the box. I think the jump in when he really has to go makes it challenging to use, because of the height. Not ideal if your cat is older/ has mobility issues.
Yes, I recommend this product.
