Zero Stars

This stove almost killed us. We awoke to the fire and carbon monoxide alarms going off in the night. It is terribly designed and nearly impossible to get any airflow. Even when we preheated the pipe and were able to get some draw, it managed to cool and then started pumping smoke into the cabin. We tried several times to get it going properly. It is the worst wood stove we have used and we have 2 off grid cabins so we know a thing or two.

We bought this wood stove for a small space but it pumps smoke out whenever you open the door. But if the door is closed, there is not enough airflow to keep the fire going. Not well made at all. A wood burner needs to be designed correctly, not just a cast iron box on legs

Q: Hello I need to know the weight of this stove with or without pipes. Also does it come with pipes?  Thx

2 Answers
  • A: The weight of the 1269E is 117 lbs, the unit does not come with venting. The SuperVent insulated chimney system is available through Canadian Tire, double wall smoke pipe would be installed from the stove to the first finished wall or finished ceiling and Supervent Stainless Steel 2” wall insulated pipe would be installed from the first finished wall or ceiling above the roof.
