I searched on line for this product and found three at the North Edmonton Common store. When I arrived there they had only one as the other two had been destroyed making the store Halloween Display.No other store listed online had any this size.

A: Could be a mixture of Straw & Hay. We recommend for decoration only, not for animal use.

Q: What chemicals have been sprayed/applied to the straw? I wanted to use it as a cooking ingredient (for smoking). Is this safe?

A: It’s sprayed with fungicide and we wouldn’t recommend for cooking.

Q: FYI, this looks like a "straw' bale, and not a hay bale. Correct? Not that it matters much for decoration, but I believe this is straw and not hay. Straw (yellow) used more for animal bedding, where as hay (often green) is used as a good source of food for animals. Hay is much more expensive than straw.
