Great saw

Great saw. Very easy to operate. It's not super loud or heavy. It cuts very accurate and it's super easy to maintain control of the saw. I would recommend this saw to anyone.

I last owned a dewalt hypoid saw and then I borrowed someone’s old school skil saw and used it and realized the Skil was superior. I love this saw it purrs like a kitten and cuts like a hot knife through butter. I have used battery operated rear-handled saws too and I think they have their place, but you can’t go wrong with this one.

Great saw, switched from Makita to the wormdrive skilsaw. I love it, wish i would have made the switch sooner. So nice cutting from the right side. I hope this will be the last saw i ever need.

Q: is this normal? my mag 77 that i got brand new 2 days ago has about a millimeter of movement from side to side on the front mount of the saw where it connects to the table is this normal?

Q: Is this saw compatible for cutting stone or concrete? Is it possible to cut "wet"?

  • A: Thank you for your question. This Skil worm drive saw is not intended to be used with Wet Diamond Wheels. Using water or other liquid coolants with this machine may result in electrocution or shock. Use of Dry Diamond Wheels is acceptable.

Q: What is the working RPM?

  • A: Thank you for your question. The Skil Mag77 worm drive saw has 4,600 no load rpm. There are too many variables to determine the working rpm such as the type of wood being cut, the type of blade and the amount of pressure being used.
