Couldn’t test product

I can’t review the iron at all. I’m giving the two star to is Canadian Tire’s return policy. Which simply needs to change. If I were to open the box, I was not allowed to return it. What if I opened it and the iron was not defective, but I just didn’t like it? Then I’m stuck with it. Therefore, I returned it before even trying.

Q: Where is this iron made? Can someone explain what “self cleaning” means in this case? I ask because I have another iron, not a cheap one, and it requires cleaning, however no instructions are in words, just pictures. Rather vague ones as well.

A: Iron has a self-clean setting. Put water in reservoir. Set temperature to max (linen setting). When it reaches temp setting; disconnect power cord; hold iron horizontally over a sink; move steam knob to self clean; gently move iron back and forth until the water tank is empty. Wipe the sole plate with a damp cloth. Do Not put any vinegar or descaling agents in the water tank.
