Q: Is this product safe for interlock walkways?

A: As per the text on the packaging under CAUTION: CONCRETERE AND OTHER SURFACES, this product will not harm good quality air-entrained concrete for cold weather climates. If the condition of the concrete you have, be it pre-cast concrete intelocking paving stones, or any other concrete, fits the description of "questionable surfaces" on the bag, don't use this product. It is also very important to follow the application instructions, in the case of this product, 114 grams per square metre.

Q: Is the Sifto Extreme Ice Melter (20KG Pail) safe for pets like the Alaskan \ice \melter says it is?

A: If it doesn't say safe for pets, it will bother their feet. They will clean themselves and ingest the salt. If you choose to use it, make sure to wash your pets feet and undersides to remove residue.

A: It depends on whether you are comparing to Alaskan Ice Melter, or Alaskan Melt and Grip. Sifto Safe Step Extreme Ice Melter is comparable to Alaskan Ice Melter, as it is a product designed to perform down to -31oC. If you are looking for something safer for pets, then you should consider using Sifto Safe Step Enviro-Guard Ice Melter, which melts to -23 oC. All of these products should be used as directed.

Q: how come in northern alberta does my canadain tire stop bringing ice melt to bring out spriklers? Kinda hard to water the lawn when its - 35 outside
