Product Details
This genuine Shop-Vac product replaces any of these product numbers: 90585, 9058500, 9058508, 9058511, 9058527, 9058533. Use the Shop-Vac® Foam Sleeve for picking up wet messes when used alone. The Foam Sleeve is also required when using reusable dry filters. The approximate size of the foam sleeve is 8 inch diameter and 6.5 inch high. The foam sleeve is required unless you are using a cartridge filter. It fit's Shop-Vac® brand wet/dry vacuums 5 gallon* and above (except 5 gallon* portable model H87S, 5 gallon* HangUp®, 5 gallon* Wall Mount and 6 gallon* long life model P12S vacuums).

Shop-Vac® CVCFS2 Multi-Fit Standard Foam Sleeve

This sponge does not fit well on Canadian Tire's Mastervac 30L Shop-Vac, unless I am using it wrong. My understanding is that this is a rubberized filter to be mounted on the vacuum's column, under the outer paper filter, in which case the outer filter will not longer go into its required position. Alternatively, I tried placing it over the outer filters, at which point I tore the sleeve. Perhaps it is meant to be used in place of the paper filter(s), say for wet applications? (There are some truly dense people in the world, and I may well be one of them.) It fits well over the main body of the vac, & I think I now realize this is perhaps meant to be a wet application filter.

Q: I have a master vac 054–0010-8 wet dry vacuum. Can I use the filter that came with it for vacuuming water or do I need to get a foam filter or do I need both?

A: If you are vacuuming large quantities of liquid we recommend you use a foam sleeve.

A: The Shop-Vac Standard Foam Sleeve 054-0035 if made of a flexible reticulated foam, the approximate inside diameter is 5 - 1/2 inch x 6 inch long. The Shop-Vac Standard Foam Sleeve 054-0035 works with most Shop-Vac and Mastervac models from 18.9L to 75.7L . We will be updating the site shortly to add the dimensions of the unit.

A: No, the recommended foam sleeve for use with the Mastervac 54-0012 is the Shop-Vac Small Foam Sleeve 54-0151 Another good filter option for the 54-0012 would be the Shop-Vac Wet or Dry use cartridge filter 54-0143, this filter is designed to fit first generation Mastervac units.

A: Shop-Vac Corporation does not manufacture this unit however this foam sleeve should work on the Mastervac unit.

A: That is not a valid CTC # 54-0005-2 however these should fit any large filter cage Master Vac or Dirt Hound vacuum.
