Gym floor tiles

Took the carpet out of a room in my basement and replaced it with theae Gym floor tiles. They are so easy to fit together and gave enougj cushion for what I needed. Next time I would measure to make sure they are all straight, thats one thing i didn't do.

Q: This looks similar to my kiddie mat where it is slippery for home gym, can someone confirm if there is a risk of slippage if wearing shoes to do HIIT, cardio, or other exercise on it? And how long does it take before the smell goes away?

Q: Can these be used to protect the floor if I put a livestrong lspro2 treadmill on them? How many packages would I need?

A: They work well with my treadmill. I found that the Shock Athletic rolled foam (4x8 ft.) was a cheaper buy rather than buying 2 sets of 4 pieces of the gym flooring.

A: Absolutley not. I just posted a review explaining how it separates at where the puzzle pieces meet together. I am so upset with the fact I wasted so much money on them and cannot get them returned since I do not have the packaging.

Q: Will these mats absorb vibration under a washing machine?

A: We’ve never tested the interlocking flooring against the vibration of a washing machine. However, if you are going to place interlocking flooring under a washing machine, we would recommend the 20mm thick tiles, as opposed to the 12mm tiles. A washing machine will be so heavy that the less thick flooring will be more likely to bottom out.
