Solid net

Good solid net, especially when on sale. Simple to assemble. My advice, spray WD-4, or similar, on all the joints and wipe down the rest of the metal with a WD-40 damp rag. Do this once a year and it will last a long time. Replace the net once every few years and this thing will last.

Hockey net

The nettjng on this net is not what it should be. It ripped within a month of my 14 year old shooting pucks at it. It is advertised as high quality netting, but is not. In order for me to get a new one, I was told to take the netting back to the store for new netting.

Packaging and assembly.

This rating only applies to the assembly as assembly is still in progress, so net is not yet operational.
The assembly so far has been painful when it came to attaching the net to the frame, particularly to the bottom area of the net.
A minor note, the cardboard box appears to suffer damage (scrapes and gashes) as it makes it to the store shelf but it’s contents appear damage free. Note, when the net is on Santa’s list it should be as blemish free as possible. Perhaps a less slippery box finish to enable easier handling might help along with a more dent resistant box material would help. Perhaps some preprinted alignment markings on the net and the pipe frame would assist in quicker and easier assembly.
