Q: What's the rated snow load on this structure? Will the snow have to be brushed off in order to stop this frame from collapsing? I need a structure that will withstand normal up-country winter snowloads for the South Okanagan in BC.
7 years agoA: Unfortunately, this canopy is not live load rated and we do not have those exact figures available. We suggest removing any accumulated snow or ice from the roof structure with a broom, mop or soft-sided instrument. Use extreme caution when removing snow from the cover-always remove from outside the structure. DO NOT use hard-edged tools or instruments like rakes or shovels since this could result in punctures to the cover. When removing snow, remove the snow alternating to each side of the shelter. Remove a 4 ft. section of snow from one side then from the other side, continuing down the length of the building.We do offer wind and snow rated covers in a size very similar to this one which may better suit your needs.
