Great oil! My CR-V runs much easier and happier with this oil. Especially at the low rpms. To bad it disappeared from the Canadian Tire oil racks. This review will help nobody then.

Performance improved a little

Its good oil so far ...I got high mileage Ford transit connect 4cyl and I put lots km daily for work .So far little van is doing well with this type of oil .Running liittle smother after i switched from conventional 5w20 oil. Worth to mention all my work diesel cargo vans use rotella t6's oils all the time .

Great Synthetic Oil. Tested better than Mobil 1 has a higher heat tolerance as well as better lubrication . Check it out on Project Farm (you tube)

Q: So.... how is this "Synthetic Gas Truck Oil" different from every other synthetic oil on the market?

A: The chemical composition of the products is quite different. Shell Rotella Gas Truck full synthetic motor oil is a modern package of additives meeting the latest API SN PLUS requirements, specifically formulated to protect the oil and engine with higher levels of antioxidant to cope with the more stressful and hotter running engines, often encountered by truck and SUV owners.

Q: Why it is described as a truck/SUV engine oil? Would it be okay to use this oil in a sedan, such as a 2006 Lexus GS300? If not, why not? Thanks!

A: Great question. This is marketed for trucks/SUVs that would be pulling or hauling. It does meet the API SN gasoline spec and you can use that in your Toyota and reap the benefits of this hard working oil. Thank you for your question.
