Disappointed in product

Expected much better. Purchased this product mainly to rid of cloverleaf that was starting to overrun my lawn. Sprayed them using the mix ratio on the directions on the bottle. Waited almost a week and was unhappy with the results. Resprayed the lawn with a much higher concentration of the product. That did a better job of withering the cloverleaf’s down. Now a few weeks later and it seems like the cloverleaf’s are staging a big comeback. Now what do I do????

Q: How is this product different than the ecosense weed b gon? As far as I can tell they have the same active ingredients in the same concentration.

A: Scott's replied to me (via their web site): " the new formula contains Potassium Chloride in addition to the Iron. Potassium chloride has a synergistic effect with the iron improving weed control and allowing less iron to be used in the formula. But there is a necessity for a higher dilution rate"

Q: Is it safe for pets?

A: Because of the stated precautions: avoid contact with eyes and skin, wear waterproof gloves to apply the product, avoid inhaling the product, avoid re-entering the treated area for 24 hours, I would not permit pets on the treated area for 24 hours. I have cautioned my neighbors to keep their pets off my lawn for 24 hours.

A: If lawn has not received much water and soil is dry, you want to water 1 to 2 days prior to application of Ortho Weed B Gon MAX. Apply to a dry lawn.

Q: What's the difference between the concentrate version and the ready to spray bottles? Are they the same? or does the concentrate need to be mixed with water?

A: Stickman, the Scotts Weed B Gon Max Weed Control Concentrate does need to be mixed with water and applied with tank sprayer. The Scotts Weed B Gon Max Weed Control Ready-to Spray will attach to your hose and mix with water as it is siphoned from the bottle. If you are treating a large area consider using the ready-to spray product. If you are spot treating weeds or are treating areas where the hose will not reach use the concentrate version.
