It works

In several hours sprayed weeds, including creeping buttercup, turned grey and started to die. Buy more product than you think you need; even diligent spraying will not reach all the creeping buttercup. It is a pernicious weed and you will surely find a second spray on back to back days will be needed to cover missed patches. This is not a fault of the product, creeping buttercup is very challenging to eradicate. And do follow the instructions for best results. Given that weeds started dying exactly as advertised I can only assume others' reports of disappointing results are not product related.

Spray wand doesn’t work

Bought this a few days ago. Spray wand doesn’t work. And, yes, I followed directions and have used this product before. So, now I must exchange it. Thanks for the unreliable product experience Scotts.

The wand may need to be reprimed. To do this you can lift the container higher than the wand. Press the trigger for 30 seconds. After a few seconds the wand should begin to spray. Once 30 seconds have passed you can lower the container and continue spraying the product.

A: Pets may reenter the treated area once the product has thoroughly dried. Because the product can stain, it is very important that the area is thoroughly dry to avoid tracking into the house.

Q: Creeping charlie Will this work on creeping charlie and if not, what will?

A: I have a problem with creeping charlie (ground ivy) and tried this product. It does stifle its spread and growth. With a few applications, my large patches of leafy creeping charlie have been killed off (grass unharmed). The root system might still be present. My plan is to use this safer product regularly to prevent further spread of the aggressive invasive weed. If you can hand weed it first before spraying, that might be another strategy to try.

A: Hello, spray this directly onto weeds in the morning on a warm sunny day. Make sure you wet the at much as the weed -- branches, leaves, flower... After a few hours, the product will dry and when it is dry, it is safe for your dog. This is not a chemical product like used years ago, it is mainly iron concentrate.

A: Yes. Maybe even twice or more during the same growing season. It will kill those weeds currently growing. However, as each new crop of weeds appear they will require additional spraying.

Q: Would this Weed BGon really safe for grass. I used last year (similiar product from Scotts) but it burnt my grass as well.

A: I have used this product for a few years - I find it effective on weeds and haven't had any issues with it burning the grass - the nozzle allows for precise spray on the weed only.
