    Just OK!

I'd like to start off by saying that I'm not an avid cyclist and really don't have much knowledge when it comes to bicycles, this is just my experience and complaints with the bike since purchasing 6 months ago. For starters, it's quite tall, I'm 5"4 and find it to be just slightly too big for me, even at the lowest seat setting. It's heavy. The description says it's lightweight, but I find nothing about this bike to be lightweight. Even my husband agrees that it's much heavier and harder to ride than his cheaper supercycle hybrid model. The gears do not shift smoothly, and when in the lowest gear, 9 times out of 10, it won't click in to place and keeps falling out. Not enjoyable when going up hills. The fender on the front wheel keeps slipping out of place and causing a lot of drag when rubbing against the tire. I constantly am carrying a screwdriver with me so I can tighten it when it comes loose and slips. I find it really difficult riding in areas with a lot of hills or even just inclines. Even after riding it all summer long, the slightest inclines are still a challenge to make it up, and I'm constantly having to stay in the lowest gear, wich is problematic when the bike has trouble remaining in first gear.. Definitely best suited for a level riding area with few to no inclines. I will say a few good things about the bike though...it's really nice looking, the seat and shocks make it quite comfortable to ride on uneven pavement and the rack at the back is quite sturdy and can really take a lot of weight. Overall, like I said in the titles, this bike is just ok. I don't think I'd recommend it to a friend, and I definitely wouldn't buy it again. But I would consider another Schwinn, because I do think it's one of the most comfortable bikes I've ever been on, maybe this particular model just wasn't right for the area I live in with all it's hills and inclines, and maybe not so much for a novice cyclist.

No, I do not recommend this product.
