Cannot empty

I bought this thing to run as a pig tank for a generator. The fuel gauge reads empty when there is at least 7 litres left. To make matters worse, the recessed cap makes it so you can’t drain the fuel for empty storage. I’ll just pony up and get a Yamaha OEM tank.

Inaccurate capacity advertised, not 6 gal.

Bought two of these because they fit nice in hopes of extending my boat's range, however these are not 6gal which should be 22.7l, they in fact will only hold 20l which is closer to 5.3gal, and no way to "squeeze" a bit more. Since the whole idea was to extend range, and replace a 6.6gal tank that only fits in one of my compartments, and the reason I bought 2, simply wasted money on some extra Merc fittings which I don't need as it looks like I'll be keeping 1 tank after all and using a Jerry can. 1 star since capacity is not advertised accurately and is one of the most important factors when selecting a marine fuel tank. I had the Scepter "neptune" and have the Scepter "oem" tank and their capacities are accurate at 6 gal(22.7l) and 6.6 gal(25l) respectively. 2x 2.7l would have been quite a bit more fuel in my case
