The instructions were probably the best assembly instructions I've had in over 20 years. Clear concise instructions and even a few jokes. The book case is great, the only thing I'm not overly fond of is the overhang of the shelves. The height I need it for means that overhang is actually a bit in the way. I would have preferred to not have it. Otherwise, well worth the money.

Q: Are the shelves sturdy? Or do they begin to sag in the center when there is a lot of weight on them?

A: I have two of these shelving units and they’re packed to the brim with books. If you squint really hard and are really searching for it, you might see the slightest curvature due to the weight, but the shelves are extremely sturdy in my experience.

Q: What size are the holes for the support pegs? My movers lost all pegs and I need to purchase more to install the shelves.

A: The holes for the support pegs are quite small as the pegs fit in tightly. My bookcase is all put together and I could not see a number on the head of the support peg or any id Sorry that I cannot be more specific.

A: It can be painted. You will have to treat it and sand the glossy finish off and then use a good quality paint.

Q: The display shelf shows that it is one long piece but all the boxes show the bookshelf is two side parts stacked on top of each other. Can you no longer get the display bookshelf?

A: I can’t answer the question as to where or not you can buy the store display unit. The back of the bookshelf does come in one piece but for purposes of packing and shipping it is folded in half lengthwise.
