Saris Fluid 2 Indoor Bike Trainer

I did not get to actually use this product. It is very well constructed, and looks like it should be very durable. My problem with product is that it is incompatible with the Raliegh City bicycle that I also bought from CTC 6 months ago. It is only compatible with a small subset of bicycles that have a Quick Change REAR wheel. This appears to be only bicycles meant for racing and other high-end models. There is nothing on the CTC web site or on the packaging of the product that says usage is limited. I had to get through the assembly to the point of mounting my bicycle to the trainer before I found there was a problem.

Perfectly serviceable, simple to assemble, quiet bike trainer. I was able to purchase this item at a significantly reduced promotional price recently. I needed to replace a CycleOps magnetic trainer which I was given used and on which I had ridden ca 13 K kms prehabbing/rehabbing re hip & knee replacement surgeries. That trainer's entrails deteriorated badly, became noisy & resistant due to bearing & axle deterioration. Staff at the CTC store in question generously allowed pre-purchase verification of parts integrity & reviewed assembly manual instructions. Assembly was easily managed with conventional home tools producing a solid and stable unit. There are no bells and whistles, just a basic piece of kit appropriate to my simple daily needs. Several convenient features include adjustable base levelling pads & an included rear wheel axle spike to provide a secure attachment of bike to trainer. I did have to use a considerable amount of pressure to make the bike/trainer connection. There appears to be no risk of a pre-release while in use. Primary advantages include its quiet operation and lack of frivolous "features" which would only detract from my personal activity preferences.

Are these made for kids too? It’s a shame if they’re not marketing these for kids, not just ‘the big kids’.

Je l’ai retourné, la boîte avait déjà été ouverte et il manquait des pièces. Ça fait 2 fois que ça m’arrive d’acheter des choses chez canadian tire et de devoir les retourner parce qu’elles sont brisées avant même que je l’utilise!

Great basic trainer. Even better value when I got it on sale and had CT price match a local store.
