Great bike rack

Great trunk bike rack. Quality is good. Tie downs have not left any marks or scratches on my car yet. Had to buy a tube bar for my son’s BMX or it wouldn’t fit, but that is to be expected with smaller bicycles.

Worked perfectly from Ontario to Prince Edward Island!

We bought a used version of this bike rack but enjoyed it so much that I wanted to write a review. We used this rack for 12 days while on a road trip from Ontario to New Brunswick and PEI. We even drove on the 401 and felt very confident in how sturdy it was. This bike rack easily deserves 5 stars in my books. My only negatives (and hopefully not an issue for you), was that one of our bikes did not have a straight upper bar. This meant it secured better when placed upside down. The downside to this was that part of the back window was hard to see out of. We did not think of this before we bought it. If your bikes have straight bars, you will be perfectly fine and if not, just be aware of the reduced visibility. Also, as someone else mentioned, it is quite easy to steal.

Sturdy rack. Easy to put on and take off. I tie the extra strap length around them metal clips to ensure my vehicle is protected. Kept the box for easy storage.

Q: Will this fit a 2012 ford Mustang or a 2010 Ford Taurus

A: This fits my 2004 Pontiac Sunfire very well. I put two bikes on it and it’s very sturdy. I feel very confident driving long distances. I bought it based on the reviews and it was worth it. I would think it would work for a mustang as well. It’s adaptable.

Q: Does the Bones 2- Bike Rack work with Honda CRV 2016? Or shall I buy the Ex-Bone-2-Bike Rack? Thank you.

A: It works on my 2020 kia sportage. Idk what the hatchback, spoiler, or bumper look like on yours. I suggest comparing to the one I have. I haven't tried the ex bone since they didn't carry it at my store. I will say with the lack of a full bumper to rest the feet on I would not put 2 large adult bikes on mine, personal preference. But it worked well for me.
