Indoor garden bug spray

I started an indoor garden and found that one of my strawberry plants was covered in small white things and the leaves were covered in some kind of sticky film. I sprayed a few squirts of this on the affected plants and the problem seems to have been solved.

Stinks bad

Do not use this indoors use in well ventillated area. It smells very strong and they dont tell you how toxic this is if you accidentally breathe it in. Including difficulty breathing and death!!!! As for it working to kill these lil black flies I cant say as the smell was so horrendous and fumes irritated my throat and gave me heart palpitations, I moved the plants outside and no longer cared if they died from being outside in the cold as long as that smell was gone!!! I ended up using the sticky traps and we seem to be rid of these pests for now. But I will NEVER use this product indoors ever again not even in a hige open area. So if your sensitive to odors and chemical fumes stay away from this, try the sticky traps instead.

Q: Can I spray this indoors?

A: Edit]. I don’t know if it’s okay for indoors-pants but I bought today, thinking it was for indoor plants; I get home and it says “outdoor plants-garden”. The response from the “Woodstream Team” is confusing because Safer’s “3 in One” clearly says “garden spray” on the front of the bottle. Must be a typo—like mine. :)

Q: Can I pour this into a Dial 'n Spray and attach it to my garden hose to spray tall trees? If so, what setting should I use? I do not want to over-dilute the liquid

A: This is not a concentrate and while I can't say for certain, in my opinion attaching it to a garden hose and diluting it with water would make it less effective. Maybe the manufacturer makes a concentrate product to attach to a garden hose.

A: We recommend waiting approximately 12 hours after applying the product to water plants. Heavy watering or rain would require reapplication of the product.

Q: Is this product pet safe? My cat likes to rub against the flowers with her mouth. Also, should you spray the blooms? This is where I have been able to detect the insects.

A: I purchased the Garden Defender not the 3 in 1 spray so I am not sure if they are the same but since my bottle indicates it is a skin irritant I would say it would not be appropriate if your cat likes to rub her face. It does have sulfur in it so the smell might deter her anyway. The instructions say to coat the leaves and stem-doesn't mention the flowers. Hope this helps.

Q: Will this product work on treating powdery mildew on tomato plants? (Quebec Zone 5a)

A: The inside of the label does say it can be used on vegetables. It mentions some fruits and plants that may be sulphur sensitive ( the basis of this spray) but doesn't mention tomatoes are. I will be honest though I haven't tried it on tomato plants.

We recommend doing a small test application first on a discreet area of your tree before full use.
