Rating more to do with return policy than product. It was a final sale item which I don't understand as it was untouched and still within its original packaging, AND returned within 2 weeks of purchasing.

Simple but functional

I bought the bear spray so it goes without saying that I needed to keep it somewhere that I could reach it in a hurry. This holster attaches to my belt where it’s handily available. It fits my small can of bear spray and it’s quite stretchy, so I think it would accommodate the large can as well. Seemed a little pricy at $20, but I need it. Or hopefully, I won’t.

Unsuitable design - no flap

a year ago

Holster has no flap to hold bear spray from falling out (which has happened to me). Holster not sturdy enough, wears out too quickly. No retention string to prevent losing safety clip (have to tie my own). There is an alternative available from a different mfgr and vendor. This product is unsafe and unacceptable.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: The negative reviews all cite quality issues. To counter these issues, does the manufacturer have any recommendations on the proper way to wear the product so that: 1) the belt loop does not fail and 2) the spray canister does not fall out?

A: The canister stays firmly in place, perhaps too much. I found it was difficult to get the bear spray out in a jiffy. I won’t use it again. I would likely get eaten by the bear.
