Q: Are these dishwasher safe? They say “forged”, so are they stainless steel and what quality? Will the heat of the drying cycle in a dishwasher affect the brittleness of the knives?

A: They will rust if they are wet or damp for even a short period of time. Mine rusted badly in the dishwasher.

A: Every blade of any kind can be sharpened. Steel does well on whetstones and ceramic knives need a diamond stone to redo the edge when dull.
