A good product.

I've used this product since it's introduction a few years back on my '72 vintage cars faded trim and interior vinyl/plastic pieces, as well as the unsightly "chalky" look of U.V. damaged vinyl top. When used as directed the results are as claimed, and I've been pleased with its performance. Many have commented on product size and as it's formulation is such that a very small amount does apply broadly over a sizeable area, product does seem to evaporate quickly on application pad, especially in warmer temp.conditions; therefore it's best used when cooler temperatures are present and remain for at least 12 hrs( and no high humidity or wet weather) afterwards.I was always very pleased with the outcome and usually found that 6-8 months before needing to be reapplied to maintain a high Lustre.Originally this product was offered in small plastic bottles with a few microfiber patches & it was pricey.. but I found it to be a fairly good deal overall at the time for preserving my investment and I believe I purchased this product a half dozen times over the last few years (and I think I even got it on sale once... around Christmas.)
Now it is marketed as a few individually packaged, small "paper" squares infused with the products liquid formulation and seems to perform the same but not go as far or last as long,and at a price point now that, unfortunately, I can't in good conscience say is a good deal, and found necessary to search out an alternative product for maintenance of these areas. I would recommend this product, perhaps for use on 1st application to resolve initial dullness and fading issues, however I no longer believe it is cost effective to use for maintenance as I have in the past.

Product much worse than predecessor

I have used Wipe New before and this is a new unimproved version. Instead of a bottle of product they supply a few wipes that dry out and don't cover much.

A: I don’t see why not. Obviously use it with the windows down for ventilation. The product dries clear and hard like the original surface, and it has maintained its lustre. Black plastic I treated with it returned to black and it restored the shine from dull. It did not however, restore color to badly sun faded plastic, so your mileage may vary depending upon what you hope to achieve.

A: aucune idée sur des lumières car je ne l'ai pas essayé sur cela mais que sur du plastique noir blanchi. Je crois que le résultat serait bon parce que ça fait un effet mouillé(verni) quand on l'applique qui reste.

Q: It says it can be used on leather, has anyone used it on it? None of the reviews cite leather use. I'm worried I'm going to ruin the leather seats.

A: As per the instructions: Plastic/Vinyl/Leat her/Stone : Wash with soap and water or a mild degreaser and scrub with a brush to get ingrained dirt out of all the tight areas. (make sure the brush is appropriate for cleaning the surface without damage). If the surface has been treated before with waxes, conditioners, or silicon-based products, then use a degreaser to remove all remnants of the previously used products. If you are still nervous, I would try it in an inconspicuous area first to see how it reacts to your leather.

Q: Can this be used on the exterior paint of a truck cap?

A: Application to a painted surface is not an advertised use for this product and it done so at the vehicle owner's sole risk. The warranty is not extended for this use. Please contact the manufacturer for more information at 1-866-304-4265.
