LeakSeal® Roof and Foundation Coating is a non-fibered asphalt emulsion that can be either spray or roller applied as a high quality primer and thin base coat for use after curing with LeakSeal roof coatings, or as a damp proofer on vertical surfaces to protect against moisture penetration in roofing or building applications. This product is used to fill pores and protect against moisture penetration when sprayed or rolled-on.

Leaky roof, very expensive tar!

I needed something to stop my porch leak, it took me three time putting tar on my roof to stop the leak! Major problem with tar container, I had to use a hack saw and hammer to get half the cover off. What does the company got offer in opening cover?

Q: can this product be used as a modified bitumen primer

A: Hi Bob, Our LeakSeal Roof & Foundation Coating is not a primer. However, it can be applied to built-up and modified bitumen roofing and damp or green concrete. This product is used to fill pores to protect against moisture penetration when sprayed or roller applied.

Q: Says it can be sprayed, what spray gun would be recommended for doing this?

A: I wasn’t happy when I purchased this product, cover was very difficult to come off, I had to cut a hole in cover and use a axe to beat cover off. Temperature outdoors was too cold so tar couldn’t spread, the product was very expensive, I went to another store and bought Resito non-roofing coating and solve my problem.and it was much cheaper. My answer to question, I don’t know, I used a Tar mop!

A: This product can barely be rolled on, it wasn’t worth purchasing. It separated from the start and there was not a possible way to mix it properly.

A: Hi, Great question! Our LeakSeal Roof & Foundation Coating 18.9 L pail will cover approx. 250 sq. ft. Apply at a coverage rate of 30 wet mils to achieve a 15 mil dry film thickness.
