A: Glad to lend a hand. Rust-Oleum Leak Seal can be applied to hard, non-porous surfaces. Keep in mind that this product is not designed to withstand the flexibility of the fabric like leather. The dried paint will crack when applied to a flexible surface. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5

Q: Can this product be used to seal concrete stairs prior to tiling? Is it compatible with outdoor tiling cements?

A: Hi Chris, We do not recommend our LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Sealant for concrete stairs prior to tiling as it will not hold up to foot traffic.

A: Hi aaaa, You can apply our Rust-Oleum LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Sealant to the outside of the concrete bird bath. It is not recommended for the inside of the bird bath as the coating cannot withstand being submerged under water or it will start to crack and peel off.

Q: Can I use this on plywood that iexpose outside?

A: Hi Koko, Our Leakseal Flexible Sealant can be applied to outdoor plywood. It is best to allow new plywood to weather for at least a year or the coating may peel away from the surface.

Q: I have a leaky eavestrough. Can this product seal the leak? If yes, where should I spray the sealant, outside surface or inside where there can be water accumulating over time?

A: Hi Francoc30, We first recommend cleaning the area you would like to coat. Scuff sand any smooth areas with 220-grit sandpaper for maximum adhesion. Remove any sanding dust first before using our Flexible Rubber Sealant on the outside of the eavestrough.

A: Hi Stan, Our Leak Seal is perfect for fixing the leaking cracks of your eaves trough. Use when temperature is above 50°F (10°C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying and avoid spraying in windy, dusty conditions.

Q: Does this work on Abs pipe? Thanks 4" DWV pipe from has minor leaks at joints in basement. Tough to get at.

A: Yes, Leak Seal will adhere to ABS, or other plastic piping. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before it is coated with Leak Seal.
