Q: Can you paint a sun umbrella Navy that is originally beige? i.e. Can you paint a different colour than original?

A: I would assume that you could as the original color is a lot lighter than the paint you want to use. It would basically be like painting a wall. Hope this helps but I'm not an expert.

A: Hi Ella, Great question! One can of Rust-Oleum Exterior Fabric paint will cover approx. 5.5 sq. ft./can. As with any fabric application, the coverage of the Rust-Oleum Outdoor Fabric on your surface really depends on the porosity of your fabric. We recommend 2-3 light coats. Too many coats or heavy application could result in a stiffer feeling fabric. If too many coats are applied, it could eventually crack.

Used for fabric - clothing - amazing!!

Awesome! Used for my daughter’s Halloween Corpse Bride Costume. Worked amazing! Good spray. Even distribution. Dried quickly and stayed on through the washer and drier !! Cold water wash, low heat dryer. Even steamed garment and paint didn’t budge. Didn’t make fabric feel crusty or stiff either.
