Keep your trash in the trash.

I have a few of these animal stopper cans now. Purchased them to keep raccoons out of my trash, because they make a giant mess. They work good against raccoons. You might find them knocked over, and any protruding bag will be shredded, but the contents are untouched. Squirrels on the other hand, have chewed through the lid of one of my cans, and this makes the contents available to other pests. After a year or two the handles also get brittle and break if the trash man is too rough with them, but I have been able to repair them so far. Worth while if you are trying to stop raccoons, cats, or dogs.

The lid on the garbage bin closes securely, which is very important for keeping out small animals. It would also be great if wheels were installed, at least on one side, so the bin could be moved instead of having to drag it across the ground.

Q: Is it water/moisture proof? I need to store animal feed without the wrong type of animals getting into it. I'll be kept in a lean-to shack, but the type of feed I need to store absolutely can't get wet or really moist as it will grow mold. How dry do the contents inside stay?

Q: I have disabililties and I would like to know if it will be difficult for me to open. I live with fibromyalgia in a severe form and my hands are often weak and painful. How hard is it to open all the straps on this lids? Have you tested anyone with arthritis? Thanks
