Have been running redline for 15 years. Decided to try Royal Purple. All I can say is WOW. My tranny has never shifted so nicely even when the car was brand new. I would recommend this to anyone driving a manual tranny car.

A: According to the owners manual on the Mazda website, the correct viscosity grade is 75W-80. For this we recommend Royal Purple Synchormax. The oil capacity is between 2.5 and 3 quarts.

Q: Can this be used in 2010 Hyundai Accent Manual transmission base model? OEM spec is 75W85 GL-4?

A: Synchromax will work but it is a little lighter in viscosity than a 75W85. Often, this will decrease shift effort and increase shift speed, so a lighter viscosity in a competition application is sometimes recommended. The downside to the shift improvements of a lighter fluid are that lighter viscosity fluids can transmit noise a little more and may make the shift feel more “mechanical” (feel the mechanism working a little more).
