The bottle contains a fast-acting formula that kills unwanted grass and weeds down to the root, with visible results in just 24 hours. The formula is rainproof in as little as 2 hours. The included battery-powered wand applicator features an extended reach so bending and stooping is not required during application. To get the most out of Roundup Weed Killer apply when weeds are actively growing. Do not mow or cut the areas to be treated for 2 or 3 days both before and after application. If the plants or grass in the area are dusty or drought stressed in any way, water the area 24 hours before and after using the product. Try to make the application when you don't expect rain for at least 24 hours. You will get the best results if you treat the plants when daytime temperatures are consistently between 60 and 80° F (16 - 27° C) and temperatures at night are not getting much below 50° F (10° C).

Getting rid of weeds takes the right timing and temperature! Expect wilting to start in a day or two, but give it 1 to 2 weeks for complete control. For the fastest results, apply when daytime temperatures are consistently in the sweet spot between 15.5 C 29 C. If the nights are chilly—below 10 C the product will still work, but you'll need more patience, as total control might take 3-5 weeks. To help the product work efficiently, avoid watering or rain for 2 hours post-application, don't cut the weeds for two days before or after, and consider disrupting the leaf surface of waxy weeds before treating them.

Q: Safe for pets?

A: Hello Jals. While using Roundup Grass & Weed Control Ready-to-Use, pets such as cats and dogs should stay out of the treated area until it is thoroughly dry. This is to minimize exposure to the product and also to avoid tracking of the product onto other plants, which could cause damage. Although these animals may eat a small amount of grass, they do not consume enough of the product to cause a health hazard.
