The Best Product for Poison Ivy

Excellent product, used only for persistent weeds and poison ivy at the back of my yard. It works quite effectively and does not take much at all - just enough to wet the foliage. Wait several days and the plants will die right to the route. Do not use near drainage areas or where water may run off. Patience is key because all plants die off at different rates.

Weeds typically begin to show signs of wilt in 1 to 2 days; allow 1 to 2 weeks for complete control of the weed. Apply when daytime temperatures are consistently between 15.5°C-29°C. When nighttime temperatures are below 10°C, results slow dramatically. However, the product will still work; it may just take 3-5 weeks. We recommend that weeds not be cut for two days both before and after the product application to maximize leaf surface and absorption. Weeds with a waxy surface can be broken up with a rake before application so the product can more easily permeate the leaves. Do not water for at least 2 hours after application. Do not apply when rain is expected within 2 hours.

It certainly did the magic.....had to use three times....on some days...sprayed twice...can you tell I wanted to kill a plant that wanted to win the battle....I won!!!!

Q: Does roundup get rid of bindweed?

A: yes it does. But do not expect quick results. After about a week, you will notice the plant will be discoloured, then dead in about two weeks.

Q: Would this work on Japanese knotweed? My plan is to cut down each shoot, then pour some glyphosate down the remaining 'tube'. I understand glyphosate works.. not sure about this particular product.

A: Yes - but you have to do it in the fall, 2 weeks before first frost, spray the leaves. Any other time of year, it doesn't work. During that time it will pull the poison down to the roots and kill it from there. For more information check out the Worldwide Japanese Knotweed support group on Facebook.

It'll tackle almost any green plant that's actively growing including creeping charlie. Just remember, it's not picky. So if you have any plants you want to keep, make sure they're out of the way before you use it.

A: RoundUp Tough Brush & Poison Ivy Control is a non-selective vegetation killer. This product controls over 1,400 weeds. It will kill almost any green vascular plant that is actively growing.

Q: I have poison ivy growing below/within very tall and wide hedges. Will this product kill the hedges if used to control the poison ivy?
