    Not impressed

This sleeping bag could fit atleast 3 people - therefore theres no body heat with 2 people as there is too much extra room for cold air to get in, it is also extremely long. I understand there are tall people but I am not considered short and its longer than an average sleeping bag so our feet were cold all night as well. We were camping in 10 degree weather so it should've kept us warm but even with 2 other blankets we were cold. I am under the impression I cannot return now because it has been used, smells like campfire and we had our dog in the tent with us. I am not happy with this purchase at all.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Great 2 person sleeping bag

Great sleeping bag. Have used it down to -17 winter camping. (although did have a few extra blankets on top). great for cuddling up with your partner. Only complaint i have is being fairly skinny when you pull in the drawstrings to shrink the top they tend to be in your face when you sleep.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Good, with room for improvement

This is a good bag for casual camping, but I agree that it is not that warm on cooler nights where an extra blanket is definitely required. We were cold on nights when the temp was 14, so it is no where near the 0 to -5 in the description. It's easy to wash and dry, and the little pockets on the side are a nice touch. The pillows are not great and will probably get very lumpy when washed. The fabric of the inside of the bag, and pillows, is very cheap and has pilled after not much use making it rough and uncomfortable. A better quality inside fabric would make a big difference. A nice plus is that it comes in a sturdy carry bag making it easy to pack and store.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Overall I like this product

We purchased it last year and have been using it for some cold fall and early spring night camping and it keep us warm with extra heat blanket. - We like the color and the design of this sleeping bag compare with other brands. - Spacious and big enough for 2 people inside the sleeping bag. - The 2 pillows are bonus, however we never use it - Like the water resistant zipper carry bag , but need some practice to put the sleeping bag back each time. some thing that I dislike about it is that I think the overall quality of the sleeping bag is not that great for what the usual Roots quality for clothing. There are many lose threads, it seems not sew properly. The liner fabric is not that soft it like a very cheap material and feels a bit rough, so it doesn't feel good when you have your bare skin inside the sleeping bag. I wish they use fleece or it can come with a fleece liner. the most funny thing is that the size of the sleeping bag are all different if you zip that to a single bag. there are some left overs or longer zipper left.. the measurement of the sleeping bag was miscalculated. The quality control of this sleeping bag aren't that great.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Goodnight

With summer weather almost here and with two very young grandkids, it is time to start thinking about tents and sleeping bags. I checked out most of the ones available in my area and this is one of the best I have seen.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 7 of 7 Questions

Q: Can the double sleeping bag be unzipped and turned into two individual sleeping bags? My husband and I sometimes camp together and other times I'm with the girls and want just a single bag. Want to make sure I can get both with this purchase.

    • A: Technically you can, however like I mentioned on my review, all the sleeping bag measurement were mis-calculated a little so some of them a longer or shorter than the others and end up have the zipper left 0.5 - 1" unzip area...but that doesn't affect much of the functionally.... luckily you may get a perfect one.. ! good luck.

Q: What do the pillows look like?

    • A: They are 36x24cm wide approx, so quite small and flat, but they are comfy enough. The fabric cover is a cheap poly/cotton blend, so I use an extra cover on them to make them more comfy and keep them clean.

Q: how to make two bags there are two zippers on each side, opposing each other, thus preventing the two bags to be separated. Do we have to remove the bottom one, i realy dont see how to proceed

    1 Answer
    • A: 1. Make sure the two zipper sliders on the bottom of the bag are fully closed. They should almost meet in the bottom middle of the bag. 2. Take one of the top zipper sliders and slide it all the way to the bottom middle of the bag. It should fit snugly against the bottom zipper slider. 3. Repeat with the other top zipper slider. 4. You should now be able to separate the two bags by undoing the two bottom zippers much as you would a coat with a top and bottom zipper slider. 5. To use one bag as a single bag, simply fold it in half, insert the zipper with the two sliders still in contact and pull the top zipper slider closed.

Q: does this bag have a polyester INSIDE lining? my wife isn't crazy for those. We like the old 70's style that were soft material cotton lining on the inside. Not the slippery slidy polyester the same as the outer shell on the inside!

    1 Answer
    • A: The 76-0736 sleeping bag has a Poly/Cotton lining which is not the slippery material. It has a softer cotton feel.
