The love pie makes campfire treats for your sweet! This original pie iron design from Rome makes pudgy pies in the shape of a heart. Beautiful cast iron construction with stainless steel rods and turned hardwood handle. To use simply place a piece of buttered bread in the clam shell style compartment, fill with preserves, pie filling, cheese or meat. Add the second slice of bread. Close the lid and trim off the excess bread. Toast over the fire until done. Perfect for campfires or backyard firepits.

Impractical shape

Good quality pie iron for a decent price. The stick is long too so you’re not burning yourself when cooking. The iron is a nice weight and size, HOWEVER, the cute shape proved to be super impractical because bread slices don’t fit properly, edges burn and fillings spill out. Even trying to use homemade dough or bannock proved difficult. I would get this brand again but recommend against this shape.
