Ridgeway by Kelty Deluxe Adjustable Camp Chair

Being 6'5" tall, this chair fits the bill for a tall person. When you sit in the chair, you don't feel like you are sitting in a hole like other chairs. The recline mode of the chair is a great option. The extra pockets are useful for storing small items like cell phones. They have large pockets for drinks that are rectangular. They would have been fine staying with the standard round holes. Maybe small hole for beer cans and on the other arm a larger hole for a solo cup that has a larger diameter. The travel bag is made well, but needs to be bigger in diameter. CT should feed some of these improvements back to the vendor. With continues improvement they will have a perfect chair. Now this chair is great for a tall person, but l would suggest they make a smaller version for shorter people.

Bought it a couple of weeks ago, used it for 3 days. It's really not that much more comfortable than your basic similar camping chairs. I guess the reclyner part would be nice if the seating part were more comfortable, no support/cushion. As is you have to stand up to keep your butt from going numb, maybe it has to do with the chair being quite high, not sure. Also, if you have a gut as I do (5'10 225lbs), your gut will hurt after 2-3 days from being bent in an unnatural way with this chair as well as all the other chairs I've tried for that matter. The reason I bought this chair though is to avoid that pain in the gut. Lastly, would it have killed the makers of this product to add another inch or so in the material to the bag? No other chair gives me as hard a time as this one to put the chair back in the carry bag. Gives you the feeling that this is their first time doing this and didn't know any better. So, the chair is no worse than the others from what I can see but nothing special. Only think of buying this on sale or you'll feel ripped off.

One of the pins holding the legs together broke off, after the first 15 minutes of use. Considering all the claims about exceptional quality and workmanship, I was pretty disappointed. I would have expected this from a less expensive chair.

I did a lot of research about camping chairs prior to making this purchase. I really didn't want something big and bulky, like a zero gravity chair. I wanted a chair that folds and goes neatly in a canvas bag. This meets the bill! It is well constructed and looks good. It is comfortable and great with both adjusting arms and adjusting legs to make it sit upright or in a somewhat reclined position. My only critique is that it is a little work to fit it back in the bag nicely. I am impressed that this chair is well constructed because so many chairs out there today look like they are meant to only last one season! Very happy with purchase.

I have problems with my knees and the normal camp chairs are too difficult for me to rise from. This chair is excellent and I have no problems whatsoever. In addition I am tall and being able to adjust the back is very good. Chair is of solid construction and I would recommend this product.
