Cheaply made

I bought this for my son as a gift on his 6th birthday in March 2024. It is now June 2024 and both brakes are broken. First to go was the front U-brake. Kid fell and the brakes bent on collision with the ground. Bikes are not made like they used to be. I fell countless times as a kid and my bikes never broke. Every piece on the bike should not bend if a fall occurs. I bought a bigger and green Redline BMX for my 10 year old in April 2024 and same issue. Broken brakes and 1 broken brake lever from a fall. Will also be leaving a review on his bike. For $300 you would think these bikes could withstand a kid fall and the bike hitting the ground from 3-4 ft.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great bike! But handles do not stay tightened

The bike is great, but unfortunately 10 mins after using it my son complained the handles were twisted off centre. Even after tightening it a few times it still seemed to move positions. Either forward or side to side so the alignment was off: disappointed

Questions

Q: What is age for this bike?

2 Answers
  • A: IMHO it would be good for kids aged 6—10 y.o because BMX bikes are usually smaller than mountain or regular (casual) bikes. My son is 8, and he had a choice of buying a larger bike, but sticks to this size, as he feels more secure and comfortable.
