Q: My R22 system had a leak. It's been fixed. Once I vaccum the system can I add only 1 /3 of required R22 amount? Also I live in Ontario, just to confirm there is no legal issues using this to charge my home AC? Thanks for your help!

Q: Are you aware that R22A refrigerant is propane based and highly flammable gas ? Selling it at Canadian tire puts people in danger !

Q: Can RedTek 22A be used to top up a fridge with R-134a refrigerant?

A: No, the 22A cannot be used on a system that runs R-134a, as the 2 chemicals operate on different Pressures. Customers can use the 12a product on an R-134a system. 014-6116 is the 12a refrigerant can, 014-6123 is the gauge/hose assembly for the product, 014-6129 is the kit that includes 2 cans of refrigerant and the hose/gauge assembly.

Q: The RedTek R22a 8oz can says it is equivalent to 20oz of R22. Does this mean I add only 1 can for each 1.25lbs of R22 I am replacing?

A: Yes you are correct, 8 oz of 22a = 1lb. 4oz (1.25Lbs) of R22.

A: This is compatible with most common refrigeration materials and lubricants including R22, R502, metal components, mineral and synthetic(Ester and PAG) lubricants, seals, gaskets, hoses, compressors, and o-rings.

Q: Since 410a was meant to replace the '22' refrigerant, could this product be used to top off a 410a system??

A: We do not recommend using RED TEK 22a to recharge a 410a system. It is designed for use in R22 systems only.
