This senior model batting helmet is constructed with 16 individual vents for optimal air flow and circulation to keep the athlete cool and dry when the action heats up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad that my son was wearing Rawling’s Velo matte batting helmet. He was actually hit in the head with a baseball from a pitch. This helmet 100% made such a difference in the protection. He avoided major injury. The hat wasn’t damaged either! He says it’s very comfortable to wear, feels sturdy and well built.

Q: I see it has dome fasteners. Does it come with a chin strap that attaches to those?

A: No the helmets do not come with chin straps. This change was made moving into 2020. So there is a chance that some instore / in warehouse inventory actually has a chinstrap on the helmet. But any helmets shipped from Rawlings moving forward will not have a chinstrap. They are sold separately. 0800110 is the CTR SKU #. ( RSC1 ) Hope this helps.
